Social issues of ecological problems
The methods advocated by the sustainable development attempt to resolve the social, ecological and cultural conflicts we are facing only partially. The study of several cases brings out the essential misconceptions in sustainable tourism development: incorrect or superficial understanding of the sustainable development concept, socio-psychological factors, opposed to financial returns, as well as governance aspects and lack of coordination between actors of the process.
